Projects in the works- Newest Items are at the bottom
Built with an internal Facet Fuel pump to transfer fuel out of my 12 gallon
tanks to refuel another bike if needed. A few of my riding buddies have used
this more than once. Works well.
*Tool Tube
*Adjustable sidestand
Fall of 08" I picked up a used Bridgeport CNC center. It has
produced many parts and allowed me get a lot of those "To Do's"
done.
This was an 08' project that has held up and become a very useful addition to the bike. I'm working a small
batch of these for 09" w/ a built in Airpump.
I put my tire irons and tubes in this. They are always on bike "Just in case".
Built after our Canada bike trip. I've put many miles on this and it's working great, the larger foot I welded
to the bottom is a huge plus when parking in the dirt. A little turn of the foot up or down and you can get
your perfect lean angle. Send me your stand I will add this mod and send it back. $65 plus shipping.
*Water pump Redo Kit
When your water pump seal fails coolant gets sent into your oil. Not a good combo. There is no "Weep" hole, so you have no way of knowing
that you had a failure until your next oil change or you notice the coolant level is going down.
This has a weep hole, so NO water will get into your oil, and will help you to see a problem before it can cause bigger issues.
I hope this modification will go 50,000 miles before seal and shaft change. Testing has started.(spring of 09')
*CNC machining of stock case required*
So far I have over 12,000 miles on this setup and it's still going strong. Updated, more compact version is in the future plans. I should have
15-20,000 miles on it by this winter. I hope to have these available this winter as an exchange, I'll send you a case cover ready to bolt on,
then you send me your stock back.
Stop back often to see what
else I have up my sleeves.
Stop wishing for 690 SM handling with your 690 Enduro. With a set of rims and this adaptor kit you'll
be carving up the streets or track in no time. Use your own rims or get a complete kit.
- New 690 Rack is in the works.
- Worried about your side stand braking your cases on the LC8? It's bolted to the motor, not the
frame. Think about that next time you climb on, or hammer through that rock field like you're on a 450.
Hold tight....A great looking fix is in the works. If you're putting something on a great machine like this, shouldn't it look good too? Let
me know what you think. This is a working prototype I will be testing through the next few months.
My goals w/ this project:
1) Eliminate potential engine damage caused by the kickstand on impact
2) Allow fast and easy removal for racing that requires side stand removal. (MX- Track days)
3) Does not limit ground clearance
4) Be compatible w/ the CENTER STAND
4) As always....drop some weight.

A large box showed up??? New toy???
It's a Grizzly 12" x 36" Lathe "G4003"
Interact 412
This is the mounting position. The
angle of the side stand is shown in
the full up position. For use with out
the center stand. (SE/ SM)
A spacer is supplied to locate the
side stand so it clears the center
stand for 950/990 ADV use.
Once the brackets are attached to
the frame only 2 bolts need to be
removed to remove the side stand.
The side stand switch must be
disabled and a supplied plug in
switch will be offered.
The clamping system requires 3
holes to be drilled in to the frame
and a sandwiching clamp installed.
This could also be offered with a
steal tab to be welded on the frame
if you prefer welding over drilling.
Removed and "Ready to Race"
I am also working on offering a "Super Shaft" pump kit that will work for the stock pumps. I hope to offer a
30,000 miles warranty on these. If it fails, I'll replace to the original purchaser for FREE. Will KTM do that??
I'm working on a few test units now. It's
winter here and about 12" of snow on the
ground so testing has slowed. :(
I will be heading to Mexico for 2-3 weeks in
Jan to finish up my testing. After this I will
know for sure if this is ready for the public or
not.
If you are interested please send me an
email so I can keep track and be sure you
are one of the first in line when available.
(MID Feb) Price is not set yet but should be
between $130-$170 depending on if you
need the side stand switch disable or not. I
will report back in Feb w/ a final price and
start taking deposits on kits.
If you have any other questions feel free to
ask.
Thanks,
CJ
After a few required clutch basket replacements I decided I needed to try a new approach.
1) Don't ride as hard (ya right)
2) Look for a stronger basket.......WAIT, no one else does.
2) If you can't buy it, Build it!! Make a Stronger Basket.
So a new Billet Aluminium- Hard coated Basket was born. This is also in testing stages and will go with me to
Mexico. Here are some pictures of the stock failures and my new "UBER-Basket".
You saw it here first! (12-15-09)
Have I said Racing is hard on equipment yet? This RGN race season tested mine and the OEM parts to the limits.
These OEM KTM baskets had about 30,000
miles each. If you ride your 950/990 like a
450/525 keep an eye on this.
You can see that the little ears tend to break off w/ extreme
use, mine is beefed up and solid. It is also Hard-Coated so the
surface is tough as steel, but just as light as the stock unit.
Grinding/ milling of the stock rivets is required as well as a
press to remove the rivets from the drive gears. The stock
drive gear is reused. Rebuilding is similar to the Hinson,
Wiseco and other after-market baskets. I may offer this
machining service for a fee. Send in your trashed basket and
I'll return one ready to go.
