Sunday
Washburn Campsite.  Up at 6:30am after a
decent nights rest.  It was overcast and 60F
on the shore of Lake Superior.   I was packed
up and headed home at 7:30.  I was the only
one around me moving about, so I walked the
bike out to the main road and started it there.
The Quota is a pretty quite bike, but no need
to wake everyone up.
I needed to stop and warm up a bit, my cup of hot chocolate
for breakfast was burned up long ago, so when I rolled into
Park Falls I stopped here to get some food.

A denver omelet and toast with another hot chocolate hit the
spot.  It was not very busy so I was hoping they wouldn't
mind my gear.  I didn't feel like McDonalds across the road.

Food was great and fast service.  I was out of there at 9:30.
Still over cast, but warmed up to 65F now.
I was taking Hwy 13 south, when I saw on my state map a note saying
Timm's Hill (Highest point in WI).  Not far off my path and needing a
change of pace I took C to RR.  C is a great road, nice shape and fun.
Reminded me a lot of SW WI with the rolling hills and sharp corners.
RR is Rustic Road 62.  That takes you to Timm's Hill Park.  The one way
road that winds up to the parking lot is worth the trip.  Narrow one lane
road.
Park at the bottom and take the
1/4 mile hike to the look out
tower.  Once on top of that you
can see a long way.  It was still
cloudy, so I'll have to stop back
there again for a better view.

Arrived at 10:30
headed out at 11:00
At the beginning of the
hike up there is a
monument with plaques
that tell about the local
history.
Rustic Road 1 is just south (still on C) and
it's gravel.  The first Rustic road in Wisconsin
dedicated in 1975.
I stayed east of 13 running on as much gravel as possible
back in to farm country of central WI.

Rolled into Marshfield around 1pm and gassed up. 198miles
on the trip and put 5gal in.  Back to 40 mpg.  I finally got  my
fuel light to come on,  Was never sure if that even worked.
Now I know I have about 1/2 gal of reserve.

I met a fellow 950 owner and good friend, Bill, in Marshfield for
lunch at Hudson's at 1pm.  We talked about future trips, then I
headed out around 3pm to slab is home.  After all the traffic I
encountered coming up, I decided to take Hwy 10, then 41 to
43 home.  This worked out much better and I was home in
about 3 1/2 hrs.

Rustic roads 17 and 57 are on the way.  Missed 57, get that
one next time.

I ended up with about 940 miles for the weekend.  The Quota
never missed a beat and took everything I dished out.  It's too
bad more of these are not around, sure is a good bike for the
money.

It got between 32 and 40 mpg, for 1050CC motor that seems
OK to me.  It's do for an oil and filter change and a good
cleaning, then...........where to next?????????
