BILLET KTM LC8 BASKET
NEW!!!!  - These are sold out.  Get your name on the next batch!
We've had some delays building the NEXT batch.  No one has missed out.
No pricing is set yet on this new batch.
After a few required clutch basket replacements I decided I needed to try a new approach.
1) Don't ride as hard   (ya right)
2) Look for a stronger basket.......WAIT, no one else makes one.
2) If you can't buy it, Build it!!   Make a Stronger Basket.

So a new Billet Aluminium- Hard coated Basket was born.   When this was in testing stages it went with me to
Mexico. (notice the Mexico map underneath) I put 5 miles on it at home, loaded the bike in the back of the truck
and headed for Mexico in the middle of Feb.  2.5 weeks, 2-up w/ luggage for 2,500 miles.  Do you think I trust my
products?

Here are some pictures of the stock failures and my new "UBER-Basket".

You saw it here first!
 (12-15-09)
These OEM KTM baskets had about 20,000
miles each.  If you ride your 950/990 like a
450/525 keep an eye on this!
You can see that the little ears tend to break off w/ extreme
use, mine is beefed up and solid.  It is also Hard-Coated
so the surface is tough as steel, but just as light as the
stock unit.

Grinding/ milling of the stock rivets is required as well as a
press to remove the rivets from the drive gears.  The stock
drive gear is reused.  Rebuilding is similar to the Hinson,
Wiseco and other after-market baskets.  I may offer this
machining service for a fee.  Send in your trashed basket
and I'll return one ready to go.
BASKET TESTING History/ UPDATES!!!

2,500 miles of testing and it still looks like new.  I compared that to a stock basket with
2,500 miles of my use, OEM is already showing signs of wear. I'll be working on a small
batch of these over the next few months.  Get your name on the list if interested.  I will
be offering this built ready to bolt on as shown int he above picture. A core charge will be
applied unless you send in you stock basket ahead of time.  (3/14/10)

Update!!

I now have 20,000 miles on the basket.  Still working great.  The first batch has been
produced and shipped to those on the list.  If you want in on the next batch, contact me.
The first batch sold out in 1 week.

Pricing is $500 for the bolt in.  Some machine work is required, so doing it yourself may
be difficult.
-A $350 core charge will be applied, I can send you a built basket and you return your
stock one when you get it installed.

(Must be returned w/ in 2 weeks of receiving, otherwise refund may be reduced or cancelled.
We need cores to build more baskets, otherwise send us your basket first for NO core charge)
